6th Grade Portrait Features




6th Grade students worked on different facial features before putting together a portrait. They focused on value and how to create value using drawing pencils and different drawing tools. They chose one feature to enlarge, render and paint.

5th Grade Faces


5th Grade students learned about facial features and how to transform a 2D sketch into a 3dDsculpture. After creating a cylindrical vessel, they added their faces and details with clay. Glaze was used to finish the project.

Kindergarten Colors


Kindergarten students broke a heart into geometric shapes using lines. They traced the lines with black glue. They separated the background and foreground by using warm and cool colors.

1st Grade Faces


First Grade students focused on shape and line to create funny faces. They mixed collage with oil pastel in order to assemble shapes and added lines with oil pastels for details.

5th Grade Composition




5th Graders worked on composition when laying out their paintings. They experimented with different painting techniques to create their landscapes.

3rd Grade String



Third grade students looked at different type of design. They practiced drawing these before choosing one to create using string and cardboard.

1st Grade Birds


First grade students ban witegh part of an egg carton for this project. After looking at and discussing art that can be created out of found materials, students painted a beak and eyes onto their portion of an egg carton. Paper scraps, feathers, bottle caps and other materials were used to finish their bird creations.
