Fifth grade students looked at pop art to influence this
Emoji project. After discussing
subject matter and pop artists, students learned about color and how it affects
mood and feeling. They discussed how this is seen not only in art, but in every
area of our lives like logos, restaurants, schools and really everywhere!.
Students used this information to create Emoji redesigns. They chose an emotion
or feeling that they wanted to represent and used color, shapes and facial
expression to portray the feeling. They completed the project using felt and
yarn.
